Difficulty with Dr. Web Light

After downloading this App. I tried a partial scan of my Mac. It said it would take more than 34 hours to complete the scan. I tried to stop the scan and could not. I had to restart my Mac, using the power button. It was lock up because of Dr. Web. I tried to scan files that I chose, it scan several short files but would not scan my “download” files. I have tried five or six times to scan this file and Dr. Web locks up my Mac and does not complete the scan. I am erasing this program form my Mac. The only good news is the software was “free”.
